Adam Gordon

Adam Gordon works on fundraising from foundations as his board portfolio. He lives in Collingswood, NJ is a member of Kol Tzedek, a small minyan-ish synagogue in Philadelphia and also of Heymish Minyan. He first came to Institute as an Everett Fellow in 2003 and has taught two Institute courses, one on suburbanization and halacha and one on reading the Gospels as Midrash. He is a civil rights attorney in New Jersey working on land use and affordable housing issues, and also founded Next American City, a quarterly magazine about the future of cities and suburbs. He stops doing these things on Shabbat and thinks that is the best thing about being Jewish.
