• NHC's Summer Institute: July 29- August 4, 2024. Registration opens April 25th

This year’s theme of עִיר מִקְלָט “Ir Miklat: City of Refuge” can be found in a small corner of parshat Matot-Masei (Numbers 30:2 - 36:13). It epitomizes how we want this year’s institute to feel: a space where both the individual and the community at the heart of the Havurah ethos can come together in a safe space to create something meaningful, where our connections are welcoming and inclusive, fun and exciting, relaxing and energizing, and insightful and spiritually significant for our diverse community of participants.

The Core Team envisions Institute as our City of Refuge--a place that’s safe--this year more than ever. What is it YOU need refuge from? We welcome you to join us at Pearlstone Center for sanctuary and refuge, to renew and refresh, and to play, rest, create and learn with us!

The closest airports are in Manchester, NH, Albany, NY, and Boston, MA. If using a GPS, enter 40 University Dr., Rindge, NH 03461 as your destination.

In addition to driving, there are several ways to get to and from Institute.

  • Bus From Boston and/or New York City: We are running buses again to Institute from Boston and/or New York, leaving Monday morning and returning Sunday after closing program. You can reserve spots on the NYC bus or indicate your interest in a Boston bus on your registration. Email transportation@havurah.org with questions about buses or if you are interested in being a New York or Boston bus captain!
  • Fly to Manchester, NH: There is a van service that can pick up those who decide to fly to Institute via the Manchester airport. Please indicate this option on your registration.
  • Carpooling: If you have space in your car, or need a ride to Institute, please indicate it on your registration and volunteers will try to help coordinate.

Sustainability Note
Will you drive to Institute? Train? Fly? Our travel impacts the environment. Bus or carpooling, when possible, is the first step. And, increasingly, travelers are also choosing to “offset” the heat-trapping climate pollution from their travels, to balance out the climate impact of their flying and driving. Carbon offsets reduce one ton of climate pollution for each ton your travel created. NativeEnergy and TerraPass are two organizations that permit individuals to purchase carbon offsets directly.
