Workshops 2012
A little about workshops…
• Workshops are an hour long: mornings (Tuesday-Friday, 11am-noon) and afternoons (Tuesday-Thursday, 3:30-4:30pm).
• Workshops are a great way for our community to further learn with/from each other.
• Workshops can be presented in any format, from discussion to hevruta (paired learning) to lecture to… interpretive dance! Whichever formats the teacher/facilitator best thinks conveys the material.
• Finally, workshops are volunteer run; we would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to all of the amazing teachers for sharing their expertise, knowledge, ideas, and resources with our community!
But wait, there’s more! If you have a great idea for a workshop that wasn’t on the schedule, or were too shy to offer one in advance, or just had a great idea for a discussion, you can offer a spontaneous workshop this week! Go to the office, get some paper, find out which room is free for your renegade workshop, and post a notice on the bulletin board on the way to the dining hall. Don’t forget to include a workshop title, a few keywords to get folks interested, and the day and time (morning or afternoon workshop slot), along with the location.
For more information, for help with a spontaneous workshop, to submit a workshop for next year, or to give feedback, please contact Shari Lynn Kochman at workshops@havurah.org.
