Online Discussions
NHC Discussion Lists
The NHC sponsors nhc-announce, nhc-havurah and nhc-discuss, three electronic forums for discussing issues and sharing information related to programs, activities, and concerns of NHC members and interested friends.
These lists replace mail-havurah, which, from 1994-2005, served as the NHC's online forum to continue the conversations begin at the NHC Institutes.
Since then, our community has become larger and more connected to/by the Internet, and mail-havurah has come to serve several distinct functions:
NHC announcements, discussion of havurah and community issues, and general discussions. In order to ensure that each of these functions can thrive, the NHC has retired mail-havurah in January, 2005, replacing it with three individual lists, each with its own mission, as described below.
This new structure is not intended to make any statement about which topics are more important than others; it is intended only to facilitate our electronic communication. Please read the list descriptions carefully so that we can all make the best use of the new lists.
mail-havurah will be archived indefinitely at Shamash, The Jewish Network.
Anyone interested in participating in our on-line community or in learning more about NHC programs is invited to subscribe to any of these lists by using the web interface at http://listserv.shamash.org.
