If you are between the ages of 6 months and 12 years old, we invite you to spend your Institute week at Kids Camp! At Kids Camp, you will be assigned to a group of campers all around the same age. Your group, with awesome and experienced staff, will spend time together every morning and afternoon while your parents/guardians are in classes. You will explore Judaism and the Institute theme through a variety of fun and engaging activities. You might make up a play to preform or play sports outside or make theme-related art projects. You might go swimming or go on a scavenger hunt around campus. You might learn new songs or sing old favorites.
Community is one of the most important goals of Kids Camp. Whether you’ve been to Kids Camp before or not, you will have the opportunity to make new friends this year! You will even have a chance to make friends with kids of other ages as well as adults!
Please note that Kids Camp operates during scheduled class and workshop times. The camp is designed for kids from six months to twelve years old who can participate in an all-day program with a break for lunch. We do our best to accommodate all children. If you have questions or concerns about your child please email the Kids Camp Director, Aileen Heiman, at email@example.com.
Families that have registered at the time will receive a “Welcome to Camp” email in mid-June with additional details and forms. Following June 15th, these forms will be available through the Kids Camp section of our site, or you can e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. All Kids Camp participants are required to have completed Kids Camp permission forms submitted prior to the start of camp.
Volunteering at Kids Camp
Institute is a truly participatory and inter-generational experience, and Kids Camp embodies that in a big way. We strongly encourage participation at Kids Camp from teaching faculty, Artists-in-Residence, parents, and all other members of the Institute community. If you are over the age of 12, but would like to participate in Kids Camp in some capacity, please email the Kids Camp Director. You can do anything from teaching a group of campers a song, to leading a craft project, to volunteering to hold a baby!
