In addition to their course, Artists in Residence work with the planning committee on community-wide programming, and help to bring this summer’s theme to life throughout the Institute. This might take the form of programming for the Kids’ Camp, an evening program, or a collaborative community art project.
What you’ll receive
Free registration for Summer Institute (in a double occupancy room), a $1000 stipend paid after Institute, and reimbursement for up to $800 of materials and/or travel expenses.
About the role and application process
We invite you to submit a proposal to serve as Timbrel Artist in Residence (TAIR) at the 2025 NHC Summer Institute. Proposals should outline a class that highlights this year’s theme: “Rebuild With Love”. The committee will select up to two TAIRs.
The Summer Institute is a remarkable co-created intergenerational community, featuring courses, workshops, community-wide activities, singing, prayer, kids’ programming, and more. The Timbrel Artist in Residence is fully integrated into the full week-long experience, including other courses, evening programs etc.
The TAIR will offer a course that meets for four 90-minute sessions, and will work with the planning team to offer programming that brings this year’s theme to life.
We are committed to making our application process accessible. Feel free to e-mail air@havurah.org with questions or accessibility requests.
Who should apply
