We strongly encourage those who need additional assistance to apply for the level of grant that would make coming to Institute possible for you – we want to see you there!
- You can apply for a tuition or travel grant in your registration form.
- Apply for work-study, and come with a discount of 40% or 100% (depending on the role). The application can be found at this link, and should be submitted no later than June 22nd.
- The Havurah Institute is enriched each year by programs offered by a Timbrel Artist-in-Residence, Liturgist-in-Residence, Hollander Social Justice Fellow, and Zeitler Fellows (new participants between the ages of 22-32). All fellowship applications are currently closed.
Contact us at office@havurah.org for more information about Grants, Work-Study, and Fellowships.
Summer Institute Registration
Participants of the Havurah Institute decide the amount they pay for registration using a sliding scale (this includes room, board, and all Institute programming).
Sliding Scale | Baseline Price | |
Adult, Full-Week Resident | $700-1,300 | $1000 |
Adult, Full-Week Commuter | $630-1,200 | $900 |
Adult, Shabbat-Only | $420-$800 | $600 |
Child, Full-Week Resident | $490-$1,000 | $700 |
Child, Full-Week Commuter | $455-$950 | $650 |
Child, Shabbat-Only | $260-$600 | $375 |
*The amount of registration paid above the sticker cost, i.e., on the high side of the sliding scale, counts as a donation and receipts will be provided
NHC Dues (tax-deductible)
Everyone who attends Institute pays dues, which are added to the cost of registration unless otherwise specified. The dues year follows the Jewish calendar, so those who have paid dues since the beginning of 5778 (September 21, 2017) do not have to pay again for the 2018 Summer Institute. Dues payments are non-refundable.
