• NHC's Summer Institute: July 29- August 4, 2024. Registration opens April 25th

    This year’s theme of עִיר מִקְלָט “Ir Miklat: City of Refuge” can be found in a small corner of parshat Matot-Masei (Numbers 30:2 - 36:13). It epitomizes how we want this year’s institute to feel: a space where both the individual and the community at the heart of the Havurah ethos can come together in a safe space to create something meaningful, where our connections are welcoming and inclusive, fun and exciting, relaxing and energizing, and insightful and spiritually significant for our diverse community of participants.

Summer Institute Lite

$275.00  (Coupons of 10%, 25% and 35% can be applied) + Dues

This ticket provides:

  • Access to most schedule items for the full two weeks – 7/25-8/8, but NOT Courses 
  • Liturgist-in-Residence programming
  • Hollander programming
  • Limited access to Timbrel Aritist-in-Residence programming
    • Marbled Paper Matchboxes with Ava Rosen (Timbrel Artist-in-Residence)
    • Sephardi/Mizrahi Poetic Songs with Galeet Dardashti (Timbrel Artist-in-Residence)
  • Daily workshops
  • Children’s offerings
  • Davening
  • Both evenings of Shabbat
  • Options to share meals and hangout online together in an informal setting!

Don’t have time to commit to courses? Maybe you just want to meet some new people! We’ve got you covered with this limited access ticket option. Please note you CANNOT UPGRADE from this ticket once purchased. If you think you may have time for 1 or 2 courses, please purchase the FULL ACCESS ticket and apply a coupon that you think is appropriate.

If you have never been to our annual Summer Institute, we are offering you HALF OFF for the entire experience. Children’s Admission (16 and under)

$18.00  (Coupons of 10%, 25% and 35% can be applied) + Family Dues

Sales start on June 1.  Sales end August 8.

Children can access any workshops appropriate for children under 16, davening, shabbat, and community-wide events (dance party, joke-telling, etc.) from 7/25-8/8.

Davening Only Ticket

Free

Sales start on June 1. Sales end August 8.

This ticket gives you the ability to join us from 7/25-8/8 for any or all davening. You will be able to access all davening on our schedule throughout the two weeks at no cost. You  must fulfill your dues at this time and donations are greatly appreciated to help others access the Institute.

NHC Dues (tax-deductible)

Everyone who attends Institute pays dues; dues can also be added to your ticket when checking out.  Dues are tax-deductible.

  • $40 per individual
  • $80 per family

The dues year follows the Jewish calendar so those who have paid dues since the Fall of 2020 do not have to pay again for the 2021 Summer Institute. Dues payments are non-refundable.

Sliding Scale/Coupons

This year we are offering 3 coupons that can be applied to your ticket at 10%, 25%, and 35%.  These are in place of our usual sliding scale.  To use one of the coupon codes, enter SAVE 10, SAVE25, or SAVE35 at the top of the ticket choice page where it says ‘Enter Promo Code’ at the top left. You will see the discount apply to all of the ticket types below.

Those who are able to pay $400 are encouraged to do so.  You can add a donation to your ticket when you add your dues. Donations support Institute programming, teachers, and subsidized pricing to make Institute accessible, staff salaries, supplies and office costs.

This year we are offering three coupons to make the Institute accessible. You can choose from 10%, 25% and 35% off an All Access ticket, the Summer Institute Lite ticket, and the Children’s Admission. We strongly encourage those who need additional assistance to apply for the level of grant that would make coming to Institute possible for you – we want to see you there!  If you would like more than 35% off, please apply for a grant here.

Applications for registration and travel grants are processed in the order they are received until our grant budget is exhausted. For best results, apply early!  Questions can be directed to grants@havurah.org.

NHC dues are required of everyone ($40/individual; $80/family), and are not subject to Grant Awards.

Applicants will receive a response within 4 business days of their application submission.
